Demineralization (DM) Plant

Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from water by using ion exchange process. Demineralization utilizes both cation and anion exchange resins, sometimes even in the same column or bed.

Mineral ions such as cations of sodium, calcium, iron, copper, etc. and anions such as chloride, sulphate, nitrate, etc. are common ions present in water. Demineralized Water also known as Deionized Water, is water that has its mineral ions removed.
